The Insane Universe of Dog Nicknames
I own two dogs with my wife: Sif and Archie.
Sif, pictured behind above, was adopted before the pandemic. I estimate that we were spending about 65 waking hours with her per week at the absolute maximum. Archie, in front, was adopted during the pandemic. With the transition first to remote and then to hybrid work, we probably average more like 80 waking hours with them per week. Which is way too much.
I think every pet owner develops crazy names for their wards. We are no different. Here is a sample of the insane nickname-iverse we have constructed.
